[English] Hello, my name is Tainan Ferrari, founder of Āto, and I currently consider myself to be a calligrapher, lettering artist and designer.
It’s hard to talk about myself without thinking in creation. Like many Brazilian kids, I used to spend most of my childhood playing football on courts, dirt pitches, or even in my living room. In the remaining time I was sketching kit ideas, sewing football shirts for my toys or creating stadium concepts, first on paper and then with clay.
I didn't know it yet, but it was a clear sign of my eagerness to express my passions in a visual form.
That same eagerness has led me through many different creative fields and functions, exploring as a self-taught person, I have always allowed myself to experiment new techniques and pursue paths that instigate me and provide me the opportunity to convey feelings and meanings through my work.
Today, with approximately 10 years of experience and jobs with national and international level brands such as Grêmio, Salton, Melissa and Renner, I continue with the same passion for creating and an even stronger desire to explore techniques and paths, and to expand my knowledge about letters, design and the world.
[Português] Olá, meu nome é Tainan Ferrari, criador da Āto, e atualmente me considero artista de lettering, calígrafo e designer.
É difícil falar sobre mim sem pensar em criação, como boa parte das crianças brasileiras passava a maioria do tempo jogando futebol em quadras, campos de terra ou na sala de casa, já no restante do tempo estava desenhando ideias para uniformes, costurando kits para meus bonecos ou criando estádios, primeiro no papel e depois em argila.
Eu ainda não sabia, mas era um sinal claro da minha ânsia em expressar minhas paixões de forma visual.
Essa ânsia já me fez passar pelas mais diversas áreas da criação, explorando de forma autodidata, sempre me permiti experimentar novas técnicas e seguir rumos que me instigassem e proporcionassem a oportunidade de expressar sentimentos e significados através do meu trabalho.
Hoje, com cerca de 10 anos de carreira e trabalhos para marcas de nível nacional e internacional como Grêmio, Salton, Melissa e Renner, sigo com a mesma paixão pelo criar e uma vontade ainda mais forte por explorar técnicas e caminhos, e expandir meu conhecimento sobre letras, design e o mundo.
